Spectrum Named Top Builder by Community Builders Association of New Jersey

Succasunna, NJ— Spectrum Construction & Development Co., Inc. received a first place award in the 2005 Awards of Excellence sponsored by the Community Builders Association of New Jersey. The gala awards event was held on May 19, 2005 at the Sheraton Tara in Parsippany, New Jersey.

“I’m extremely pleased to receive this award”, said Don Dyrness, President of Spectrum Construction and Development Company, who attended the awards event. “I was very impressed with the overall quality of the work submitted in the Single Family Custom Home category. Everyone on the Spectrum team, our employees, our customer, the trade contractors and suppliers, deserve credit for this recognition of excellence by our industry.”

Spectrum was selected as the winner of the Best Builder Single Family Custom Home in the $500,000-$750,000 price range. The award winning home located in Succasunna, New Jersey, combines quality craftsmanship with a design that is specially suited to fit the particular wants and needs of the owner. According to Don Dyrness, “The home was designed for a couple who are empty nesters. We used universal design features to create a living environment that is more easily accessible and usable by everyone. For example, the spacious master suite is located on the first level. There is a covered porch across the back of the home with no steps to negotiate from the house to the back yard. The home was designed to maximize views of the adjacent pond and farm, bringing the outdoors inside. While there are three bedrooms on the second level, the couple will live primarily on the first level while they finish out their professional careers and through retirement.”
