Family Wellness is the Focus of New Main Street Business

Succasunna, New Jersey-----Spectrum Construction & Development Co., Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of Bridges Counseling & Family Wellness Center at 109 Main Street in Succasunna.  The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 5:00pm.   Special guests at the ceremony included New Jersey State Assemblyman Anthony Bucco, Mayor of Roxbury Township Jim Rilee, Roxbury Town Councilman Richard Zoschak, Roxbury Township Manager Christopher Raths, and President of the Roxbury Area Chamber of Commerce Mike Rousseau.

At the ceremony, Assemblyman Bucco welcomed Bridges to Main Street and commented that the opening of a small owner operated business is the epitome of the “American Dream”.  Mayor  Rilee emphasized the importance of community support in assuring the success of any new business.

Heather DiDomenico, Owner and Director of Bridges Counseling remarked, “It is a pleasure to offer our services in a community where we have learned that family, partnership and community support are strongly held values.  Bridges is here to reinforce these values by offering a professional and compassionate environment where families, children and adults can overcome their challenges by recognizing their strengths and provide hope for greater fulfillment.”  Asked why she chose to move Bridges Counseling to 109 Main Street, Heather said that she was taken by its inherent charm and home-like warmth, an environment that will put her clients at ease.

Heather DiDomenico, is board certified and a licensed professional counselor who specializes in Marriage and Family therapy.  She established Bridges in 2006 after many years of experience in providing therapy for multi–stressed families and individuals dealing with addiction, developmental disorders, sexual abuse, divorce and single parenting.

The 109 Main Street building has been a Succasunna landmark since it was built in 1900 at the intersection of Main Street and Hillside Avenue and is the first building to be renovated under the criteria set forth by Roxbury Township’s Main Street Improvement Plan.   Originally, it was built as an office and family residence for the only practicing physician in town and the property included a carriage house, used for the family horse, carriage and feed.  The redesigned interior has preserved the turn of the century character of the property while accommodating the office space needs of today’s professionals.  All new siding, windows, roofing and mechanical systems were installed improving the building’s overall energy efficiency.  There is one remaining suite available in this one-of-a kind office building, ready for immediate occupancy.

Spectrum Construction & Development Co., Inc. was established in 1989.  It is a family business, owned and operated by father and son, Daniel and Donald Dyrness, both long time residents of Succasunna, New Jersey.  Spectrum specializes in designing and building custom single family homes, major additions/renovations and light commercial projects.
